Terms of Service

 

The two contracting parties who appear in the rights and obligations mentioned in the following provisions are the students, whose personal data is used to fill in the registration form, and the teacher Matthias Trabandt, trade license number / IČO: 01605071, seat Lužická 1637 / 33, 120 00 Prague.

 

General provisions

 

a. By registering for a course open to the public, the course participant is entitled to the services provided by the teacher and to the requirements set within the framework of the specified course type. The teacher is responsible for providing these services.

 

b. Registration for a course can be done either online or in the classroom. Registration in the classroom is only valid if the course payment has been made in accordance with the payment terms. Registration for a course through the website is valid after the online registration form has been completed, the participant has received a confirmation email from the teacher and the course has been paid for in accordance with the teacher's payment terms. Refunds will be made either by bank transfer or in cash in the classroom. Once the student's enrollment is confirmed, it is the student's responsibility to pay the course fees in one of the ways above.

 

c. While in the classroom, the student is expected to respect all rules regarding the use of the teacher's property. If a course participant breaks any of these rules, he / she will be disqualified from the course immediately and without any compensation.

 

d. The general terms and conditions apply to every publicly accessible language course conducted by the teacher. Any claims made by a student outside of the terms and conditions will not be honored. The out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes is based on Act No. 634/1992 sb on consumer protection as amended by the competent Czech trade supervisory authority.

 

Guarantee and cancellation conditions

 

a. If the teacher is unable to deliver a course, the student will be refunded the course fee in full. In the event of a course being canceled, the course participant will be offered alternative dates to catch up on the lesson.

 

b. If the teacher is unable or there are restrictions to conduct the class in person, the class will be held online.

 

c. Once the course fees have been paid, they cannot be refunded unless otherwise agreed. However, the student has the option of transferring the course fees to another course of the same type. The student's application must be submitted no later than two weeks after the first lesson of the course. Likewise, if an agreement is reached, the course participant is entitled to a corresponding part of the course fees during the course time.

 

d. The teacher does not guarantee that a student will pass an exam or any other language qualification. The student is responsible for passing a language test; the teacher only supports the student before taking an exam.

 

Conditions for individual courses

 

a. Participants in individual courses have the right to cancel an agreed lesson. In this case, it is the student's duty to inform the teacher at least 24 hours before the lesson. If the student is unable to notify the teacher within the specified time, the lesson will be charged in full. In the case of participants under the age of 18, the parents or legal guardians are responsible for ensuring that they are canceled in good time.
